When most think of fly fishing they think of clear mountain streams and trout. Well we have that in Manitoba (well maybe not the mountains) but we have a lot more.

And what we have is variety! Yes trout (rainbow, brown, brook and tiger trout as well as lakers, arctic char, spar and splake) but for decades fly fishers in Manitoba have been casting their flies at so called 'alternative species'.

Channel cats, carp fresh water drum, goldeye, moon eye, white bass, walleye, small mouth bass and pike are on the warm water plate.

If you live in Manitoba you already know about the variety of species. Now you may be ready to catch these fish on a fly rod.
